Government of PakistanPakistan has won anti-terrorism war: Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that by the grace of Almighty Allah, Pakistan has defeated the monster of terrorism by breaking the backbone of terrorists’ network across the Country.

“We have won this war and will, God willing, eliminate the remains very soon,” the prime minister said in a statement on Monday.

“This all was possible owing to the valiant, determined and brave forces of Pakistan. We as a nation acknowledge their great sacrifices in the line of their duties and would never forget them,” he added.

The prime minister also strongly condemned the bomb blast in South Waziristan that resulted into the martyrdom of three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel.

Earlier in the day, three FC personnel were martyred in an explosion in Zarmilan area of South Waziristan.

Nawaz Sharif extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed to Almighty Allah for blessing the departed souls with eternal peace.

The prime minister said that these matchless sacrifices of precious human lives in the war against terrorism will always be remembered as they form the most important aspect of our national history.

“They have sacrificed their most valuable assets of lives for the sake of our homeland. There is nothing material to match up to their sacrifices,” the prime minister said.

“We as a nation will never forget the greatest contributions of our valiant Law Enforcement Agencies in the war against the enemies of our country,” he added.
