PESHAWAR, Pakistan: At least eight policemen sustained injuries when a bomb targeted their van in Darmangi area of Warsak road in Peshawar on Thursday.

Police said the cops in mobile van were on its routine patrolling in the area when a powerful explosion hit it at Darmangi area.

The injured policemen were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar. They included Wafak Ahmad, Zarshad, Akhtar Ali, Bismillah Khan, Atif Khan, Zahid Ali, Falak Niaz and Amjad Khan.peshawar-police-vn-blast

The Lady Reading Hospital authorities said that the condition of three policemen was critical.

Meanwhile, police started an investigation into the incident.
