ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tourism development corporation (PTDC) has initiated nine major development projects across the country in order to facilitate tourists and promote tourism in the country.
“PTDC’s nine major projects were under construction in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and in Federal Capital to revive tourism sector in the country”, an official of the PTDC told the state-run news agency in Islamabad on Friday.
An official said the projects were underway in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to be completed at a cost of around Rs.25 million and the Tourist facilitation centre in Gilgit-Baltistan would be in the process of competition at a cost of Rs. around 20 million.
Moreover he said “Tourism Facilitation center at Quetta would be completed at cost of Rs 20 million.
He said, “Extension in Motel at Moenjodaro would be completed at a cost of Rs. 15 millions.
PTDC tourists facilitation center at Karachi would be completed at a cost of Rs 15 million, he added.
He said that for the establishment of Motel at Swat an amount of Rs 30 million has been allocated while TFC/PTDC head office in Capital would be completed at a cost of Rs 30 million.
