ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The visiting Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Tuesday said that Turkey would continue to support the struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination.
In a meeting with President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad, the Turkey foreign minister said that Turkey also supports Pakistan in its bid to secure membership of Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG).
In his remarks, President Mamnoon said that Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with Turkish people and President Tayyip Erdogan for the cause of democracy and stability in Turkey.
The president complimented people of Turkey for their struggle for democratic stability.
The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu reached Islamabad last night to hold talks with Pakistani leaders to discuss matters of bilateral cooperation and regional and international issues.
Separately, the Turkey foreign minister also held a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad during which the premier said that Pakistan and Turkey share close ties based on culture and religion.
The prime minister said that Pakistan stands with Turkey against terrorism. He also expressed grief over loss of precious lives in recent terror attack at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul.
