ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday said that no development fund would be given to the members of provincial assembly (MPAs) from now onward.

In his address at a press conference at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad on Monday, he said that the MPAs would now only be concentrating on legislation.

The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak, Provincial Ministers Atif Khan, Shehram Tarakai and MPAs were also present on the occasion.

Imran said that Ehtisab Commission would be made more powerful after the passage of a new law from the assembly soon.

The PTI Chief said that Galiyaat Development Authority (GDA) is going to be established and will be extended till Kaghan, adding that CM House and Speaker House Nathiya Gali would also be handed over the GDA for rental services.

“We’re going to introduce Madrassah reforms. We have signed a memorandum of understanding with Haqqania Madrassah which will be made public to clear objection regarding funding,” he said.

Imran Khan said that it was a part of the PTI manifesto to integrate the Madrassahs into mainstream by introducing modern education. Madrassah students would also be taught science subjects, he said.
