ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Two-day Pakistan-Bahrain Bilateral Consultations will be held at the Foreign Office in Islamabad on July 12 and 13, Ambassador of Pakistan to Bahrain Javed Malik said on Monday.
Speaking about the event, Javed Malik said that an official delegation from the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain led by Sheikha Rana Bint Isa Al Khalifa, head of Afro Asian region for the Ministry Foreign Affairs Bahrain, will visit Islamabad on July 12 to attend the event.
The ambassador said that the discussions will focus on expanding all areas of bilateral ties between Pakistan and Bahrain with a special emphasis on upgrading economic, trade and commerce relations.
In addition to the formal consultations, the delegation will also call on the Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhary and Additional Foreign Secretary Tasawar Khan.
The delegation will also meet with Minister of Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan and discuss the scope to expand our economic and trade relations and exchange views on the first Pakistan-Bahrain Business Opportunities Conference due to take place later this year, the ambassador said.
Javed Malik further said that another important feature of the visit would be to finalize agreement on establishment of King Hamad University of Nursing which would be established in Islamabad as a gift from His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The delegation will also meet health ministry officials.
