ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Naran Valley Hotels Association Matiullah Khan Tuesday said the organisation had announced 25 percent discount for tourists on accommodation and 20 percent on food items during the Holy month of Ramazan.

Talking to the state-run news agency, he said “Every year we announce a discount package for the tourists in the holy month of Ramazan, and this time it has been decided to give 25 percent discount on accommodation and 20 percent on food items.”

To a question, he said a good number of tourists are thronging the valley from different parts of the country to spend some days of Ramzan in the in the pleasant weather.

To a question he asked the government to provide electricity to the tourists loving place, adding “We are using locally generated electricity from turbine and waiting from the government side to provide the electricity in the area,” he added.

Pakistan Tourism Development Cooperation (PTDC) is also working on Ramazan package to give discount on accommodation in its motels and hotels during the holy month of Ramazan.

It is a wonderful opportunity for tourists to spend their holy month of Ramzan at cool places on affordable rates said a spokesman of the PTDC.

With an objective to introduce Pakistani culture and tourist attractions on international level and since 1970, PTDC has been working hard to promote beautiful picnic spots situated in far-flung areas of Pakistan, especially where the private sector is shy to invest.

PTDC is currently operating 13 Tourist Information Centres all over the country to provide information, travel guide, brochures and maps to tourists for planning their holidays, he added.
