ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak on Wednesday expressed grief over the brutal massacre that took place at Bacha Khan University on Wednesday morning.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that he is in contact with the concerning departments despite being in Scotland.

Khattak said that the KPK government is fully assisting Pakistan Army, intelligence agencies and other security personnel in launching the investigation against the attack.

“It’s a war, which has to be won by the united efforts. I urge all the parties and international community to play encouraging role in war on terror, “he added.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister revealed that the terrorists still have hideouts near Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Pervez Khattak He assured that the forces are holding anti-terrorist operations in the province to ensure the law and order situation however, the main issue is to stop the militants from destroying peace of the region.

Earlier in the morning, a group of terrorists attacked the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda and killed more than 25 persons including a professor and security guards. Resultantly, the security forces killed four terrorists and an operation against attackers were still continuing.
