Intel Pakistan announces winners of Punjab Science Fair 2015
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Intel Pakistan announces winners of Punjab Science Fair 2015. Young scientists compete for opportunity to represent Pakistan at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) 2016 will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. More than 160 students and 51 teachers from Punjab registered in the fair with a total of 70 projects, said a press release issued here Tuesday.
In this connection Intel Pakistan concluded the second of two Punjab Science Fairs in the run-up to the Intel ISEF, one of the world’s largest pre-college science competitions.
During the Punjab Science Fairs, students from across the province presented research-based projects in the categories of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Physics.
Vice Chancellor, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Dr Sohail Naqvi was the Chief Guest.Winners of the Punjab Science Fair will be eligible to compete at the National Science Fair, which will take place in Islamabad early next year.
The projects will be assessed by a panel of renowned judges, covering a broad range of science and engineering disciplines.
“Intel has sponsored the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) for almost 2 decades now, and each year we have witnessed tremendous talent flowing from all over the world. ISEF is a great platform for youth as they interact with each other and share insights and experiences which help them gain confidence,” said Country Manager, Intel Pakistan, Naveed Siraj.
“I hope that the students gain more this year in terms of personal growth through healthy, constructive competition and make our country proud,” he added.
It may be mentioned that Intel Pakistan is investing among youth of Pakistan and provide opportunities to youth to express and show their work and ideas.
