ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Terming the LNG project as excellent, President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday said that serving the people and resolving their issues within the available resources was the real achievement.

The President was briefed on the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project by Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, according to a press release.

He said, this project will help meet the energy needs of the country.

The President praised the transparent nature of the project and said that work on such low cost and beneficial projects should be expedited to meet the energy needs of the country so the national economy improves and basic facilities are made available to the people.

The President expressed satisfaction that the country’s economy was on the right track for which the present economic team deserved praise.

He said Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is a competent and dedicated person who always holds national interest supreme.

Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Arshad Mirza, Director General LNG Project, Managing Director Inter State Gas System and senior officials of the President’s Secretariat also attended the briefing.
