NEW DELHI: At least 30 persons were killed while 50 others sustained injuries after a passenger express train slammed into a stationary freight train in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on Monday. This is second fetal rail accident in India this month. On May 4, 2014 Sawantvadi Passenger train derailed between Nagothane and Roha stations causing death of 20 while about 100 were seriously.

The Indian Railways official said in New Delhi that six bogies of the train derailed following the collision. Rescue operation has been started.
