23 more militants killed in fresh airstrikes in North Waziristan

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: As the military operation Zarb-e-Azb continues successfully, the army aviation gunship helicopters pounded militant hideouts in the restive North Waziristan tribal region and killed at least 23 more militants.

   

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that hideouts of the militants were targeted in fresh airstrikes by the gunship helicopters in Bangi Dar area of Ghulam Khan Tehsil.

The latest causalities have propelled the toll of militants killed in the operation past 1,000 since its commencement on June 15 while over 200 sanctuaries of militants have been flattened.
