LAHORE: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab on Sunday ended their 14-day hunger strike after successful negotiations with the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

A 10-member delegation of YDA, led by Dr Hamid Butt and Dr Amir Bandesha, held a meeting with the chief minister in his camp office in Model Town.

   

During the negotiations, doctors asked chief minister to resolve their problems. In response, the CM assured them about resolving their issues on a priority basis, Punjab government spokesman said.

After getting assurance, the young doctors ended their 14-day long hunger strike.

The sources said that the CM has formed a committee to look into the issues of the YDA, which will present its report on February 25.
