Monitoring Desk: After a successful phase of the Sikh Referendum in Canada, ‘Sikhs For Justice’ (SFJ) has decided to hold the second phase of the Referendum for Khalistan on November 6, 2022.

September 16 Referendum in Canada again flashed Khalistan demand and the Sikh organization is of the view that Canadian Sikhs made history on September 18 by coming out for Khalistan in huge numbers and they will do so again on November 6.

State-run news agency of Pakistan APP reports that the second phase of the Khalistan Referendum will test India-Canada diplomatic relations as both countries have been engaged in open warfare since the start of the Khalistan Referendum campaign in Canada. After the first referendum in Brampton, both countries issued travel advisories against each other, warning their respective citizens.  Canada refused Indian requests to take action against those who are raising separate Indian Punjab by curving Khalistan out of Indian states where a majority of the population is Punjabi speaking.

It may be mentioned that over 20o,000 Sikhs took part in the Khalistan Referendum held across four countries demanding the liberation of Indian Punjab from Indian occupation and the establishment of a sovereign Sikh state.

Express Tribune reports that starting in October last year, four referendums have so far been held in UK, Geneva, Italy, and Canada in which the Sikh community actively participated in a huge number.

The first Khalistan referendum was held on October 31, 2021, in the UK, in which 30,000 Sikhs participated. Over 6,000 people voted for a sovereign Sikh state in Geneva on December 10, last year. A similar exercise was held in Italy with the participation of 62,000 Sikhs and around 110,000 in Canada.
