Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy to remain unchanged: King Salman

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: The newly appointed Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud has said that Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy will remain unchanged.

In his address at his first Cabinet meeting in Riyadh, King Salman said that his country’s policies in relation to Arab, Muslim and international countries will remain unchanged.

The king said that they will continue to serve Islam and support Arab and Islamic causes besides promoting international peace, security and global economic growth.

“We will work hard in the service of Islam, for the betterment of our loyal and noble people and support Arab and Islamic causes,” King Salman said according to Arab News.

“We’ll also work to promote international peace, security and global economic growth and pray to the Almighty to help us shoulder this responsibility and trust in a way that pleases Him,” he said.

His appointment as monarch and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques took place after the Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz died in Riyadh on January 23 after suffering from lung infection.

King Salman said that he will continue to abide by the policies set out by King Abdul Aziz and the other rulers who followed him.
