Pakistanis, Once Again, Give Esra Bilgic A Hard Time On Instagram
Since the day Dirilis Ertugrul started broadcasting in Pakistan, people seem to have lost it. Esra Bilgic who plays the role of famous Halime Sultan has become the sensation and almost the highlight of everyone’s conversation. Amidst it, all people cannot just digest the fact that she doesn’t dress up as Halime or a Sultan’s wife always.
Pakistanis have taken to every Instagram picture she posts to school her on her dressing and how she carries herself.

Esra recently uploaded a picture by the seaside, in which she was clad in a sleeveless maxi dress. Obviously, Pakistanis could not see that she wasn’t in a Sultana’s dress and had her arms showing off. Half the populace took it to her comments to tell her that she has Jahanum-bound herself because of her dressing, while the other half were just there for fun or to school those who were schooling Halime.

Esra’s Constant Instagram Criticism
Since the day Pakistan broadcasted Ertugrul on the order of Prime Minister Imran Khan, people have flooded Esra’s social media accounts. While there is no doubt that she has been getting all the love Pakistanis have to give, there is a sizeable portion that just can’t accept that she doesn’t dress like a royal always and has quite a modernistic background and approach to life.
Every time she uploads a picture; people bombard it with comments. On her recent picture in a bikini, people went so vile with the comments that she had to, unfortunately, turn them off. Here is the picture we are talking about:

It’s Time For Us To Think
With all that’s happening in Esra Bilgic’s Instagram posts, it is about time we think and mends our ways. While it is integral that the role of Ertugrul has established yet another vital connection between Pakistan and Turkey, but the image we portray internationally can be destroyed by the way we deal and handle these celebrities.
I think it is about time we do understand that we are not the ones who can preach Islam to others, and we have no right to distort a country’s image based on that too.
