ISLAMABAD: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, the Met Office said on Friday.

However, isolated rain / thunderstorms are expected in Malakand and Hazara Divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan and isolated rain / thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa‚ North Punjab and Kashmir.

On Friday‚ weather remained very hot and dry in most parts of the country.

The maximum temperature of some major cities: Islamabad 44 Celsius‚ Lahore 47‚ Karachi 34‚ Peshawar 43‚ Quetta 37 and Murree 32 Celsius.

According to Met office‚ temperature will start receding in 1 or 2 days as scattered dust storms and isolated rain with thunder-showers are expected in most part of the country from on Friday night.
