It may be remembered that the Transatlantic Intelligence Consortium that is a specialized think tank composed of former intelligence officers and counterterrorism experts released a report titled “HOW THE US, EU & UN ARE FUNDING THE TALIBAN AND AL-QAEDA” in which it revealed that $40 million every week arrives to Kabul by plane from the US, EU to fund Taliban and $7 billion, the money that belonged to the Afghan people. Tim Burchett who is a member of Congress wrote a letter to Donald Trump on January 2, 2025, indicating that he (Tim Burchett) raised the issue in the year 2023 but his bill was intercepted and he would again move the bill. He stated in the letter that the US government does shipment of cash payments in US dollars to Afghanistan’s Central Bank. These cash shipments are auctioned off and after that, they are nearly impossible to trek. This is how the Taliban is being funded and plans to fund terrorism around the world. “The Taliban’s foreign ministry in Kabul confirmed the swap, saying two US citizens had been exchanged for”, reported the Guardian online newspaper.
