ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) has so far witnessed 75 Coronavirus (COVID-19) Cases; however, luckily no death of the virus has occurred yet.

As per the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, Bhara Kahu remains the worst affected area of Islamabad wherein 19 people including 13 Tableeghi Jamaat members have developed COVID-19 Symptoms.

The Deputy Commissioner said that 7 Cases were detected in Shahzad Town, 7 Cases in a house in I-10 Sector, and 1 Case each in F-6 and F-8 Sectors.

Hamza Shafqaat said that the Coronavirus patients in the Federal Capital also include 14 females whereas 18 infected persons are between the age group of 30-40 years, the most among all age groups.

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner said that the health authorities have carried out 1,500 Coronavirus Tests in Islamabad but the majority of them were conducted at the airport.

It’s worth noting that the data shared by the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat was of 68 patients registered by April 3. Later, 7 more Cases emerged in the ICT, of which localities are yet to be known.

Earlier on Thursday, while speaking to anchorperson Nadeem Malik on his show Nadeem Malik Live on Samaa TV, the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad said that of the 62 patients reported by then, 14 were hospitalized, 11 to 12 were quarantined in a mosque in Bhara Kahu while the rest were quarantined in their houses. He told that 2 of the infected patients were in critical condition mainly because of the age factor or they already had multiple health disorders.

The Deputy Commissioner said that they plan to install 20 Sanitizing Walkthrough Gates at different locations in Islamabad while the disinfecting sprays have already begun on a large scale.
