ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) has detected 51 new Coronavirus (COVID-19) Cases on May 8, the highest spike in the Federal Capital in a single day.
With new Cases, the total number of COVID-19 patients in Islamabad has reached 609. Of them, 4 have passed away whereas 72 have been recovered.
Of the 52 COVID-19 patients registered in the ICT on May 8, 36 were males and 15 were females.
The most number of Cases emerged in I-8 Sector wherein 7 people were diagnosed with the virus. Whereas five Cases surfaced each in G-11/1, G-9/4, and Pindorian. Four Cases emerged in an I-9 Hostel, and three in G-10/2 Sector.
Likewise, two persons each in G-6/1, F-8/2, G-13/2, DHA, Madina Town, and Jhangi Syedaan were tested positive for the Coronavirus.
While one Case was detected each in G-8/4, Daewoo Terminal, Chak Shahzad, D-Block CBR Town, Banigala, Ghouri Town, Zia Masjid, Sohan, Rawal Town, and PWD Housing Society.
To date, a total of 27,474 COVID-19 Cases, 618 deaths, and 7,756 have been registered across the Country.
Meanwhile, the Islamabad District Health Officer (DHO) Zaeem Zia has appealed to the Islamabad Citizens to follow the instructions and preventive measures suggested by the health authority.
