Burhan Wani Lives in History of Resistance as Unforgettable Hero

UncategorizedBurhan Wani Lives in History of Resistance as Unforgettable Hero

Kashmiri youth considers Burhan Muzaffar Wani as a hero not because he contested the writ of Occupied forces but because he was martyred by the Occupied forces. Wani has embedded him in the history of resistance as an unforgettable hero.

No nation can afford to lose its generations with such a fast pace as Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IoJK) are losing. Martyrdom has become a desire for every young boy of IoJK

Burhan Wani and his two friends have infused a new life in the resistance movement and they symbolize the sentiment for freedom. Half-widows, raped women, sexually abused girls and boys are symbols of oppression inflicted by Indian Occupied Forces on Kashmiris. Constant struggle and sacrifices have center-stage the Kashmir dispute at the international level.

Our (Kashmiri) youth have been forced to take extreme steps when their peaceful cries and democratic posturing is being responded with brute and unmatched force. Luckless Kashmiris are called terrorists when they blood their motherland for Freedom.

Since August 5, 2019, complete communication shutdown, constant curfews, closures of schools and hospitals, unending curbs on social and political activities, continuous detention of resistance leadership, denial of basic human values have added to the already existing political uncertainty in Valley.

We will observe the fourth death anniversary of Burhan Wani with a commitment to stay struggle till the day of Self Determination and Freedom from Indian brutalities.

Every Kashmiri is urging the United Nations (UN) to look in this age-old conflict which has consumed more than half a million Kashmiris and remains to suck the blood of innocents on a daily basis.

It was Burhan’s valour, grace, devotion, patience, vision, and wisdom by virtue of which he has become an icon of resistance.

The whole world is aware of the impact of his martyrdom on the freedom movement of Kashmir. The participation of tens of thousands of people in the funerals of Kashmiri martyred youth is a manifestation of people’s hatred against India and their commitment to the freedom cause.

Indian aggression against unarmed Kashmiris had crossed all the limits and UN is still sleeping and has failed to stop the state terrorism unleashed by Indian forces in the occupied territory.

I am just reproducing UN History over Kashmir Dispute just to remind UN officials their utmost intervention is necessary to safeguard Kashmiris from their further genocide.

What UN resolutions say about the Kashmir issue?

  • The complaint relating to Kashmir was initiated by India in the Security Council;
  • The Council explicitly and by implications, rejected India’s claim that Kashmir is legally Indian territory;
  • The resolutions established self-determination as the governing principle for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute. This is the world body’s commitment to the people of Kashmir;
  • The resolutions endorsed a binding agreement between India and Pakistan reached through the mediation of UNCIP, that a plebiscite would be held, under agreed and specified conditions.

The continued bloodshed in the occupied territory warranted an urgent intervention by the international community.

Burhan Wani inspired the Kashmiri youth to join the resistance movement and they were rendering their lives by following in his footsteps.

Indian forces are killing youth in the guise of cordon and search operations and are also involved in raping women, girls, and even children.

Radical and Seditious

These are the two extents of

the pendulum of my life.

If I read too much, the books are

Radical.

If I write too much, the lines are

Seditious.

If I listen to songs of freedom,

the music is Radical.

If I write poems of liberation,

the rhymes are Seditious.

If I dream, the thoughts are

Radical.

If I protest, the slogans are

Seditious.

If I breathe, the days are

Radical.

If I die, the funerals are

Seditious.

My mind, my eyes, my honour are

Radical.

My hand, my heart and my phones

are Seditious.
