ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A total of 38,799 people in Pakistan have been tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), according to the fresh data issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on May 16.

Along with it, 834 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives while 10,880 of the infected persons have been recovered now.

In Sindh, so far 255 patients have died and 3,606 have got recovered whereas Punjab has recorded 245 deaths and 4,757 recoveries. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has recorded 5,678 Cases, 291 deaths, and 1,613 recoveries while in Balochistan, 2,457 people have so far been diagnosed with the virus, of them, 31 have died and 383 have recovered. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 518 people have contracted the Coronavirus, 4 of them have lost their lives while 345 have now got recovered. Likewise, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) has recorded 108 Cases, 1 death, and 76 recoveries. Whereas 921 Cases have surfaced in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). Of them, 7 resulted in deaths and 100 ended up in recoveries.
