KYIV, Ukraine: The Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has expressed deep sorrow over the train accident in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province which caused multiple casualties.

Two passenger trains collided after one of them – Millat Express – derailed and fell across the down track and hit Sir Syed Express at around 03:30 am on Monday.

   

Resultantly, at least 55 passengers were killed and nearly 100 others received injuries.

“Deeply saddened by the loss of life and suffering caused by a deadly train collision in Pakistan’s southern province of Sindh,” Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

The Ukrainian foreign minister said that “My thoughts are with the close ones of the victims during these difficult hours.”

“I wish all injured a speedy recovery,” he wrote.
