SSP-City Sheeraz Nazeer said the case had been enlisted on a grievance of a pioneer of the Sunni Tehreek at the Risala police headquarters under Sections 295-C (utilization of harsh comments in admiration of the Holy Prophet) and 298-An (utilization of disparaging comments and so on in appreciation of Holy Personage) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The SSP said that Mr Jamshed had not yet been captured. He said that the matter would be examined by a senior officer before making any move.

ST pioneer Mobin Qadri moved an application in the court under Section 22-An of the criminal method code looking for enrollment of a disrespect body of evidence against Mr Jamshed for professedly making profane comments about the Holy Prophet and his wife Hazrat Ayesha (RA).

Due to public reaction Junaid Jamshed also released a public video message asking for an apology but majority pf people asking for accountability and justice. According to Police the case will be investigated as soon as possible and after complete report, if Junaud is found guilty he will be arrested.
