ZIARAT: The Balochistan government has started initial work on reconstruction and restoration of Quaid-i-Azam Residency in Ziarat‚ damaged in a terrorist attack last month.

The historical monument of the Residency was destroyed in the attack last month where the Quaid spent his last days of life.

Official sources said in Quetta that a committee headed by former Chief Secretary Mirza Qamar Baig has been setup to supervise the reconstruction work.

The new committee includes renowned architects and experts of heritage who have offered their voluntarily services to restore the monument to its regional shape.
