Resultantly, four militants including an important Commander of Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, Mustafa, were killed.
It was the first US drone strike in Pakistani territory since the Taliban carried out a barbaric attack on an army-run school in Peshawar while the Pakistan army speeding its actions against the militants.
The Pakistan army has killed 62 militants in ground action and another 57 in aerial strikes in three different actions conducted in last two days, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif was informed during his Friday’s visit to the Khyber agency.
The Foreign Office has consistently condemned US drone strikes in Pakistani territory and maintained that these strikes amount to violation of our sovereignty and territorial integrity.
