PakistanTaliban, extremist mindset is forming another IJI; says Kaira

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira on Saturday that Taliban and extremist mindset is forming another Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI)  which is doomed to failure like the former one, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

Talking to media persons in Lahore, Kaira said that the formation of the opposition parties’ alliance led by Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) has revealed the difference between sympathizers of militants and those who are fighting against terrorism.

Kaira said that PML(N) has always contested elections with the support of agencies, adding that it is surprising to note that PML(N) is forming electoral alliances with the parties which it had been criticizing in the past.

The federal minister said that it must be in the knowledge of the people as to who is supporting extremism.

Kaira said that the government will negotiate with only those extremists who recognize constitution and the state of Pakistan. He said Pakistan Peoples’ Party government followed the policy of dialogue‚ development and deterrence to solve the issue of extremism.
