Islamabad:   IGP Balochistan Mushtaq Sukhera is on hit list of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and he has survived second attack on August who caused death of DIG Fayaz Sumble—a man Sukhaira trusted very much. There was a time Mushtaq Sukhera was known for his relations with TTP backed Malik Ishaq.

First attack on Sukhera was planned on May 13 when six persons were killed and 70 others sustained injuries in a suicide car bomb blast near the official residence of Inspector General Police Balochistan Mushtaq Sukhera at Zarghoon  but Mushtaq Sukhera remained unhurt in the incident. Explosion took place at around 10:25pm when the convoy of the Inspector General Police Mushtaq Sukhera reached close to the house. There was intense firing from different directions of the city after the blast.
