Four killed as blast hits passenger train in Rajanpur

RAJANPUR: An explosion targeting a passenger train went off near Kotla Shah Hassan in Rajanpur District of Punjab on Friday, killing at least four persons and more than 50 others.

The railway sources said that Khushal Khan Khattak Express was going from Peshawar to Karachi but as it reaches Kotla Hasan Shah station, a bomb that was fitted at the railway track exploded.

The blast derailed seven bogies of the train, and caused death to at least four persons and injuries to more than 50 others. The dead and injured were shifted to nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, federal minister for railways Khawaja Saad Rafique sought a report over the incident.
