KARACHI:- Allama Syed Baqir Zaidi, a prominent Shia leader survived a bid on his life as his bodyguard took most of the hits to die later during what could be said as yet another act of targeted sectarian shooting. Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

Zaidi came under attack while travelling in Liaquatabad Unit 4 on Saturday. Sources said men armed with assault rifles suddenly intercepted Zaidi’s car and fired quick bursts hitting all occupants in it before making their gateway. The injured were rushed to the hospital but the doctors could not save Zaidi’s bodyguard.
