Apple Event Fails to Amaze

For those of you who missed it, Apple has just unveiled the iPhone 6S, iPad Pro and a must awaited update to Apple TV in their annual press event. All of these devices deserve a detailed highlight of their own but we are going to focus on their main aspects and deliver a summary of the event.

The iPhone 6S would catch up with latest Samsung and Sony devices by allowing users to view 4K footage, Air gestures (or as Apple dubbed it: 3D Touch) to access extra features on screen, a new rose gold color and faster processors.

Apple TV on the other hand will feature its very own tvOS with predesigned apps for gaming, watching sports or shopping as well as having Siri, a touch-controlled remote and easier navigation access to online TV counterparts such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Showtimes etc.

The highlight of the event had to be the iPad Pro. The tablet will be the largest Apple has ever made and would feature a 12.9” screen as well as the optional stylus called the Apple Pen. This obviously came as a big shock to hardcore Apple fans as anything with a stylus was frowned upon by the previous Apple CEO: Steve Jobs. The tablet will also come with a detachable keyboard thus making the whole thing nothing but an overpriced albeit slightly better performing counterpart to Microsoft’s Surface Pro.

Personally, we were somewhat disappointed as Apple didn’t really manage to “wow” us with something new this year. Now, we are fully aware that Apple isn’t really well known for introducing innovative things but rather for its ability to take the already existing technology and making it better but to be frank Apple products seem nothing but overpriced, inferior albeit refined and somewhat well executed devices compared to what’s already available on the market at this point.
