WhatsApp polls

WhatsApp is always on the go to bring innovative features for the convenience of the users. In a recent update, users can create Communities with a feature of WhatsApp polls to be shared in the group chats. WhatsApp had been working on this feature for quite a long time. Since the functionality is approved, the feature is now available for users around the globe.

What are WhatsApp Polls?

WhatsApp polls

This WhatsApp polls feature will help the users in decision-making with the help of Communities. So from now on, if you are in a group chat with your friends and everyone has a different opinion regarding the best spot to hang out, you can use WhatsApp polls. By using this feature, you can let your family or friends vote for their preferred option. It will help make decisions quicker and easier. So, your decision is just one poll away rather than texting everyone individually and getting into the mess of multiple opinions.

How Does it Work?

So the feature comes through Communities and it is also available in the group chats as well. If you want to start a poll, just tap on the Attachment icon on the screen, and you will get the option of Polls. Select it.

It will open a new page. You can type a question and add up to 12 options in the answers. After you are done with creating your pole, tap on send and the users will get their right to vote on the options given in the poll.

Right now, WhatsApp does not have an option for Anonymous voting. Therefore, everyone can see what everyone has voted for. Maybe, the company would bring this Anonymous voting option in the times to come.

More Features

Since WhatsApp is constantly working on making improvements in the app, there are multiple features added for the convenience of the users. There are extended admin controls like deleting messages from the group chats. Users can also send and receives larger files and videos. However, there are several features that the company is still working on.

Soon, WhatsApp will let you make voice and video calls to up to 32 people at once. We will also be able to create groups of up to 1024 members with end-to-end encryption.

WhatsApp beta has finally launched the WhatsApp new feature of texting yourself like its competitors, Telegram and Discord. It will soon be available on the official app that will allow the users to text themselves. By texting your self, they can save and share files, important messages, and media with themselves. So, they would not need to open a notepad to remember important details, they can just text themselves.

This feature will also help to transfer files from one device to the other because it works in multi-device operations. Up till now, we can enjoy the new feature of WhatsApp polls to make decisions in a better way and keep everyone’s opinion under consideration without offending someone.
