BRISBANE, Australia: The second test of the four-match series between India and Australia will begin at the Brisbane Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
The match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 local time (00:00 GMT)
The 33-year-old Mahendra Singh Dhoni will lead the Indian side in Wednesday’s second Test against Australia in Brisbane after recovering from injury, according to Indian team management. In the first Test, Virat Kohli led the Indian side.
In the first Test played at Adelaide Oval between December 9-13, Australia beat India by 48 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match series.
In their first innings, Australia scored 517 runs for the loss of seven wickets before they declared the innings. Three Australian batsman including DA Warner, MJ Clarke and SPD Smith scored centuries.
India in their first inning were all out for 444 runs with Virat Kohli’s century.
The Australian side declared their second innings after 290 runs for the loss of five wickets, setting a target of 364 runs for India to win the first Test.
But the Indian side were all out for only 315 runs and fell short by 48 runs in their chase.
