SportsStar Sports India vs New Zealand First T20I

India have all alone been ruling since they landed in Australia in November 2018 and its invincibility doesn’t so far seem getting subdued. They may even further consolidate their winning habit as they now take on beleaguered New Zealand in T20 Internationals.

The first T20I is set to kick off at Westpac Stadium in Wellington shortly.

Both the teams are not playing with their full strengths in the first T20I as if Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah are on rest for India. New Zealand would also be missing Martin Guptill and Trent Boult.

Since New Zealand have just been beaten by India in ODI series 4-1; therefore the Host would be underdogs. In addition, the second ranked India haven’t lost a bilateral T20 series since September 2017.

During this period, India consecutively won 10 bilateral T20I series.

However the fact that doesn’t depict the favorable scenario for India is that they lost to New Zealand 0-2 when they toured there for their first bilateral series in February 2009.

Similarly, India don’t hold an impressive record against New Zealand when it comes to T20Is. From 2007 to 2017, they met eight times in T20Is. New Zealand won six of them whereas India tasted victories in two matches and both of them were on their own soil.

After today’s match, India and New Zealand would play the second T20I at Auckland on February 8 and the third T20I at Hamilton on February 10.

"We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation.
