SOCHI: Norway’s cross-country skiers swept the podium in the women’s 30 kilometer mass start free race at the Laura Cross-Country Ski and Biathlon Center during the Sochi Winter Olympics on Saturday.
The 33-year-old Marit Bjoergen clocked 1:11:05.2 to bag the gold medal. Therese Johaug claimed the silver medal in the ski marathon after crossing the finish line 2.6 seconds behind the winner.
The bronze medal went to Kristin Stoermer Steira with a time of 1:11:28.8.
