Sochi 2014: Michel Mulder of Netherlands wins men’s 500-meter speed skating competition

SOCHI: The Dutch speed skater Michel Mulder on Monday won gold medal in men’s 500-meter speed skating competition at the Sochi Winter Olympics.

Mulder produced a time of 69.31 seconds after two runs on the ice of the Adler Arena, his country mate Jan Smeekens took the silver medal with 69.32 seconds.

Ronald Mulder, Michel Mulder’s twin brother, took the bronze medal with 69.46 seconds.
