Following story was posted prior to the beginning of third ODI between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at Bulawayo on July 18, 2018.

Two extremely disappointing performances by Zimbabwe has already left the five-match series nothing but dull and non-exciting. However with two comprehensive victories in previous both ODIs against Zimbabwe and it may even go on further, Pakistan would be very happy to settler their account after losing five back-to-back ODIs earlier in 2018.

Leading the series 2-0 at Bulawayo, Pakistan are most likely to win the third one as well at the same venue on Wednesday, further consolidating their chances of whitewashing the host.

So far both the ODIs in the series have been one-side, and resulted in Pakistan’s favors with huge margins. In the first ODI, Pakistan thrashed Zimbabwe by 201 runs while in the second ODI, a nine-wicket victory was easily gifted to the visitors by the host.

Fakhar Zaman

While batting first in the second ODI, Zimbabwe managed to put only 194 runs on the board before being bowled out in 49.2 overs. The Captain Hamilton Masakadza led from the front and scored 59 runs, highest in the innings followed by Peter Moor with 50.

Usman Khan and Hasan Ali played key roles in Zimbabwe’s batting collapse, and picked up four and three wickets respectively.

Like Zimbabwe’s batsmen, bowlers also failed to perform up to the mark and didn’t pick up even a single wicket. Only Imam-ul-Haq lost his wicket on 44 but that also happened because of a run out.

Fakhar Zaman scored his second ODI Century and scored unbeaten 117 runs while Babar Azam also carried the bat till the end with 29 runs.

Moscow says it won’t allow US to silence UNSC on Israeli violence against Palestinians Monitoring Desk: Russian envoy in United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that the UN Security Council should bring peace, stability and prosperity to the Middle East and Russia would not allow United States to silence UNSC over the issue of Gaza crisis. According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation.
