The right-arm fast bowler Haris Rauf is the debutant in the first One Day International (ODI).

Babar Azam is leading Pakistan while the rest of the playing eleven for the first ODI includes Abid Ali, Imam Ul Haq, Haris Sohail, Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Imad Wasim, Wahab Riaz, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

The Zimbabwe Squad for the first ODI includes Brian Chari, Chamu Chibhabha as Captain, Sikandar Raza, Craig Ervine, Brendan Taylor, Sean Williams, Wesley Madhevere, Tendai Chisoro, Carl Mumba, Richard Ngarava, and Blessing Muzarabani.
Currently, sixth-ranked Pakistan has been quite dominant over Zimbabwe over the years.
Since 1992 to date, both teams have faced each other 60 times in ODIs. Pakistan won 52 matches, lost 4, 1 game was tied while 2 ended without producing any result.
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will also host the second and third ODIs on November 1 and 3 respectively followed by three T20Is at the same venue on November 7,8, and 10.
