KHULNA, Bangladesh: Pakistan will continue their first innings on the fourth day of the first cricket test against Bangladesh at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Friday.
The visiting Pakistani side has already taken a lead of 205 runs over host Bangladesh which was all out for 332 runs in their first innings.
Pakistan were 537 for the loss of five wickets in their first innings at stumps on Thursday.
The opener Muhammad Hafeez made a double-century and later he got out after scoring 224 runs. Five other batsmen including Azhar Ali, Misbah-ul-Haq, Asad Shafiq and Sarfraz Ahmed also managed to score half centuries.
Asad Shafiq and Sarfraz Ahmed were still at the crease with 51 runs each.
Bangladesh’s left-arm spinner Taijul Islam took three wickets for 116 runs from his 36 overs.
