Having been overwhelmed with fear that even Pakistan can miss direct qualification for ICC 1919 World Cup, the former World Champion will take on Australia in first ODI at Brisbane on Friday with renewed resolve to turn the tide.

For years now, Pakistan has mostly been on the losing side when it comes to playing on Australian soil as visitors suffered defeats in 16 ODIs out of 20, they played against the Host.

However this time the fear of not entering the mega event directly may further persuade Pakistan not to let history repeat itself. The series win against Australia will pave the way for Pakistan to directly qualify for 1919 Cricket World Cup.

But if Pakistan remains unable to secure a single victory in the five-ODI series, the situation will become even worse.

Though a couple of setbacks like return of Sarfaraz Ahmed and Muhammad Irfan to Pakistan over domestic issues have already caused worrisome in the team management.

Junaid Khan has replaced Muhammad Irfan while Muhammad Rizwan will take the gloves in Sarfaraz Ahmed’s absence.

Pakistan 1st ODI Squad (Possible)

Azhar Ali (Captain), Sharjeel Khan, Muhammad Hafeez, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Muhammad Rizwan (Wicker Keeper), Imad Wasim, Muhammad Amir/Junaid Khan, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali

Australia Pakistan 1st ODI Squad

According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation.
