DUBAI: Pakistan is close to secure 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series as the second Test match has entered the fifth day with England still requires another 310 runs to win with only 4 wickets in hands at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday.
In its second innings, England had scored 181 runs for 6 in the first session of the final day of the second Test match against Pakistan.
English batsmen Ben Stokes and Adil Rashid were at the crease with 9 and 3 runs respectively, and facing the bowling of Yasir Shah and Zulfiqar Babar when this report was filed.
The last England’s batsman who got out was JC Buttler. He was caught by Younis Khan off Yasir Shah’s bowling for 7 runs.
JC Buttler was the third English Batsman who got out today as earlier JM Bairstow was bowled by Yasir Shah for 22 runs while JE Root went back to the dressing room after he gave a catch to Younis Khan in Zulfiqar Babar’s bowling. Root scored 71 runs.
Earlier in the morning When England resumed its second innings, it had scored 130 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Till now, Yasir Shah has picked up three wickets, Zulfiqar Babar 2 while Imran Khan has taken 1 wicket for Pakistan.
England still requires 310 runs to win the Test match while Pakistan needs to take 4 wickets.
