SportsPTV Sports HBL PSL 2018 Multan Sultans vs Lahore Qalandars; Peshawar Zalmi...

Pre-Matches Story!!!

It seems an uphill task for Lahore Qalandars to halt their losing streak in Pakistan Super League (PSL) by beating in-from Multan Sultans – the top team in HBL PSL 2018 Standings – in 20th Match being held at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Lahore Qalandars have lost eight successive matches in PSL including six losses in the third edition but yet they seem clueless to devise an appropriate and effective strategy against the opponents.

But undoubtedly Multan Sultans have been the most impressive side in PSL 2018 but in their last T20, they also lost to Quetta Gladiators in a thriller on March 7.

In the previous bilateral encounter between them held on February 23, Multan Sultans bagged an easy win against Lahore Qalandars as in reply to 179 runs, Brendon McCullum’s boys were bowled out for 136 in 17.2 overs.

The PSL 2018’s 21st Match will also take place between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United tonight following the first T20.

Islamabad United didn’t kick off their PSL 2018 campaign with a success but then they bounced back and in their last three matches, they just tasted victories.

If Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans and Islamabad United also claim another victory, then the latter would climb to top position in Points Table, surpassing Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans.

Earlier last night, Karachi Kings lost their second match in a raw by 67 runs to Quetta Gladiators, which was the biggest margin of loss in terms of runs in the PSL history.

Shane Watson and Kevin Pietersen helped Quetta Gladiator to score 180 for 4 in 20 overs. In reply, Karachi Kings promoted Shahid Afridi up the order to have a flying start but the experiment failed and the whole team could score just 113 for 8 in their allocated overs. From Quetta Gladiators, each bowler contributed in terms of picking up wickets.
