The excitement continues to prevail during the HBL PSL 2017 as what was witnessed last night when Islamabad United turned the table from nowhere and beat Quetta Gladiators by just 1 run at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Two more thrilling encounters are round the corner as Karachi Kings will play against Lahore Qalandars for its survival in 18th Pakistan Super League match today followed by Peshawar Zalmi vs Quetta Gladiators T20 at the same venue.

As per PSL 2017 Points Table, Lahore Qalandars has 6 points and if it wins against Karachi Kings today, it will through to the play-offs. But if Karachi wins, if will still require a victory against Islamabad United or a loss from a small margin.

As far as today’s second game is concerned, Quetta Gladiators has already qualified for the play-offs with 9 points whereas Peshawar Zalmi will have to bag a win to for the next-round-qualification. But if even Peshawar loses, it will still likely to reach the play-offs.

Earlier last night, Islamabad United become the second team to qualify for the play-offs of PSL 2017. Quetta Gladiators had almost gained the fifth victory in the tournament but Muhammad Sami’s last over deprived them of.

In reply to Islamabad United’s 165 runs, Quetta Gladiators fell short of just one run, and could make 164 runs in 20 overs. Though Sarfraz Ahmed-led Quetta still had five wickets in hand.
