LAHORE: Pakistani cricket umpire and ICC umpire Asad Rauf has challenged the Mumbai Police to provide proof for spot fixing allegations against him.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Rauf said in a statement that he is innocent, adding that the Indian media and police want to disgrace him.He said that there was no jewellery in his bags.

The umpire, who became controversial after IPL spot fixing allegations, said that accepting and giving gifts is not a crime rather it’s a tradition in Asia.

He further said that the International Cricket Council would have taken action against him if he had been guilty of any wrongdoing.
