DUBAI: Pakistan is in better position as compared to England in the second Test match at Dubai on Saturday after the host took 136-run lead in the first innings against the opposition.

Earlier in the day, England resumed its first innings on 182 runs for 3 on the third day at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium but were bowled out for 242 runs in 75.2 overs.

England’s batsman Joe Root remained the highest scorer for his side with 88 runs while the Captain Alastair Cook scored 65 runs and JM Bairstow made 46 runs.

For Pakistan, the leg spinner Yasir Shah proved his significance in the spin bowling department as he grabbed 4 wickets for 93 runs, sharing the most number of wickets his side with Wahab Riaz in the first innings.

Another fast bowler Imran Khan took 2 wickets.

In the second innings, Pakistan did not good start as the opener Shan Masood was got out on just 1 run by James Anderson. Later, Shoaib Malik was also bowled by MA Wood.

Pakistan had scored 18 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in its second innings against England till the filing of this report. Muhammad Hafeez were on 10 runs while Younis Khan had just came on the crease.

Earlier the first Test match of the three-match series played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi from October 13 to 17 ended in a draw.
