Unlike the first Test, Pakistan will have leg spinner Yasir Shah in its 11-member squad for the second Test match against England which according to Captain Misbah-ul Haq, will give them “boost in the spin bowling”.

Yasir Shah’s absence was badly felt in the first Test when in reply to Pakistan’s first innings score of 523, England succeeded to score 598 runs for 9 which deprived the Host to take any advantage against the opposition after having put such a big score on the board.

The left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar was key in the spin department in the absence of Yasir Shah but the former could pick up only one wicket for 183 runs in 17 overs in the first innings while another spinner Shoaib Malik took 2 wickets.

As the match progressed and the pitch began supporting the bowlers, the spin bowling proved extremely lethal which caused a sudden collapse of Pakistan bating lineup and all batsmen were all out for only 173 runs in the second innings.

England’s leg spinner bowler Adil Rashid who was playing his first Test match took five wickets in the second innings.

It was bad light which helped Pakistan otherwise, it would have faced a defeat in the first Test against England, the same opposition whom Pakistan whitewashed in 2012 by 3-0.

In the second innings, England had scored 74 runs for 4 and required only 25 more runs to win the first Test against Pakistan but the match ended in a draw after the light began fading.
