ABU DHABI: With the help of Shoaib Malik’s double century, Pakistan put a 523 runs for 8 on board before it declared its first innings on the second day of first Test match against England on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi.

In reply to Pakistan’s score, England made 56 without losing any wicket at stumps on Wednesday evening. England’s openers Alastair Cook and Moeen Ali scored unbeaten 39 and 15 runs respectively.PTV Sports live Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Cricket Streaming (T20)

Earlier in the morning, Pakistan resumed its first innings at 286 runs for 4 and took the score to 499 when Asad Shafiq was given LBW for 107 runs off the bowling of MA Wood. The wicketkeeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmad went early for only 2 runs.

Shoaib Malik hit his first ever double century and got out on the individual score of 245. Later when Zulfiqar Babar got out for 2 runs, Pakistan declared its innings at 523 for 8.

Ben Stokes was the highest wicket taker for England with 4 wickets in the first innings. James Anderson took 2 wickets while Stuart Broad and Mark Andrew Wood grabbed one wicket each.

The Captain Alastair Cook and Moeen Ali opened the first innings for England and jointly scored 56 runs in 21 overs till umpires decided to end today’s play. The Captain Misbah-ul Haq used five bowlers but none of them succeeded to take wicket.

England still requires 467 runs with 10 wickets in hand to level Pakistan’s first innings score.

The PTV Sports will telecast the third day’s play of the first Test match between Pakistan and England Live for its viewers from the Sheikh Zayed Stadium from 11:00 am PST on Thursday.
