Pakistan vs Australia 3rd T20
Pakistan underwent a massive revamping process as it brought in a new cricketing structure and team management; however, nothing has worked yet as Pakistan is now in danger to lose its first spot in T20 Internationals.
Currently, Pakistan is ranked number one in ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings followed by Australia at second place. Having been outclassed by the Aussie in the 2nd T20I at Canberra and another possible defeat today at Perth would surely have pushed Pakistan down but the first washed out T20I at Sydney saved it.

Considering Pakistan’s number one spot in ICC T20 Ranking, it seems to be unfair to Pakistan to be tagged such a vulnerable unit especially in the shortest format. However, the fact which prompts someone to not to rule out worst scenario for Pakistan is its recent form in T20I.
In 2019, Pakistan has so far battled in nine T20Is. But of them, it suffered defeat in seven games which also included a whitewash against Sri Lanka in a home series. During this period, Pakistan won just one match against England at Cardiff on March 5 while its game against Australia at Sydney on November 3 produced no result due to rain.

For the third T20I, Pakistan would surely be resting out of form Fakhar Zaman and Asif Ali. Even left-arm Mohammad Irfan’s appearance in today’s game doesn’t seem likely. Therefore, Imam Ul Haq, Mohammad Hussain, Khushdil Shah and Muhammad Musa might been seen in action at Perth, even if not all of them.
It would be the first ever T20 contest between Pakistan and Australia at Perth.
Just for a reminder, Pakistan lost the 2nd T20I against Canberra for 7 wickets. In the 2nd T20I, Babar Azam smashed his second consecutive fifty while Iftikhar Ahmed scored 62 runs off just 34 balls.
From Australia, Steven Smith with his 80 runs stole the show and led his side to a convincing victory.
