Indian ‘Mauka Mauka’ ad featuring Ranbir Kapoor but never went on air

It was a disappointment moment for Indian fans when one of a series of Mauka Mauka (opportunity) ad made by Star Sports could not go on air because MS Dhoni’s team was hammered by Australia in the Cricket World Cup 2015 semi-final on March 26 in Sydney.

The Indian side entered the mega event as the defending champions and with seven consecutive victories in the group stage as well as in the quarter-final, qualified for the semi-final against mighty Australians.

During the whole world cup, Star Sports made a couple of Mauka Mauka ad to tease other teams, especially Pakistan as an ad showed a Pakistani fan’s endless journey to beat India in cricket world cup.

The Indians were so confident that even prior to semi-final between Indian and Australia scheduled at Sydney on March 26, they had made an ad featuring Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor for the presumed world cup final between India vs New Zealand.

The ad started with Ranbir Kapoor saying ‘Is maukay py nahi nacho gy to kab nacho gy?” followed by people from all over India dancing on the tune of Mauka Mauka. At the end the voiceover came up saying India Vs New Zealand Final, Sunday 29th March Live.

However, that never happened because India lost the semi-final from Australia. Therefore, the ad did not appear on the TV but recently got leaked on internet.
