Following Story was posted prior to the beginning of first ODI between India and Australia at SCG

Amidst an unwanted controversy stirred by Hardik Pandya and Lokesh Rahul’s derogatory comments at a TV Show which eventually caused their suspension from Cricket, India is still favourite to vanquish Australia in the ODI series as well.

India has already made a history in Australia by becoming the first Asian Team to win a Test series there, and now their next quest is to unnerve Aussies in ODIs also.

The two teams will wrestle at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) for the first One Day International (ODI) on Saturday.

For ODI series, India’s premier bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been rested while as abovementioned Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul won’t be available as well.

However, yet with the return of MS Dhoni and Shikhar Dhawan as main entrants in the ODI Squad, India looks a really formidable unit.

Like the Test and T20 formats, India’s ranking in ODIs also remains atop but only lower to England. Whereas Australia is in the re-building process and ranked sixth.

Having lost the just concluded Test series, Australia would probably still be feeling under siege, finding it difficult to break the shackles.India vs Australia first ODI at SCG Live Streaming

Contrary to current scenario, Australia still upholds a dominance over India in ODIs. Australia’s ODI record against India is summarized as 42-28 with 42.85 winning percentage.

But Australian record at the SCG is even better against India as out of 16 ODIs between them, the former won 13. Though last time when they met at Sydney on January 23, 2016, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan along with Centurion Manish Pandey steered India to six-wicket victory.
